Voices from our community: This is how the Gym Monster helped me gain more strength

🎉 Hello everyone in the Speediance team!

I'm absolutely thrilled to share my journey with my Speediance Gym Monster (GM) with you! This incredible machine has truly revolutionized my training and helped me achieve my goals.

My body fat percentage has dropped from about 19% to 14% – so I have effectively converted fat into muscle!

Workout Exercise

Transition from cardio to strength training

Before I owned the Gym Monster, my focus was heavily on cardio training, especially Peloton spin workouts. While I enjoyed those sessions, I realized the importance of incorporating strength training into my routine. I started with Peloton classes using free weights, but progress was minimal—simply due to the limited equipment I had at home. It was at that moment that I decided to invest in the Speediance Gym Monster.

Individual training plan

Initially, I completed the preset workouts on the GM. But I soon realized I needed a tailored approach. I worked with a trainer who helped me create a personalized training plan and advised me on my nutrition – including the optimal nutrient composition.

Track progress with Cronometer

I use the Cronometer app (Gold membership) to track my food intake. This excellent tool simplifies dietary monitoring and provides comprehensive data. If you're interested, I'd be happy to provide a referral link for a discount.

My nutritional knowledge

Since 2015 I have been eating a plant-based diet – a decision that not only eliminated the headaches I had since childhood, but also allowed me to reduce my epilepsy medication by over 60%.

My daily nutrient distribution:

• Calories: 1,564
• Protein: 17% (70g/day)
• Carbohydrates: 59% (200g net carbohydrates/day)
• Fat: 23% (40g/day, of which 7g are saturated fatty acids)

With 46g of fiber daily, I'm significantly above the US average of 12.5g – this keeps me feeling full longer and increases my GLP-1 production. My sugar intake is limited to 16g/day, well below the recommendation of the American Heart Association (<25g). Additionally, I keep my sodium intake at 1,955mg/day – significantly below the US average of 3,400mg.

Fitness routine

I rely heavily on wearables to track my progress: My Fitbit records 11,500 calories burned monthly through exercise. I started with three full-body workouts per week using the GM plus two Peloton spin sessions. Currently, I train using a 4-day split routine (upper body/lower body), supplemented by spinning on Wednesdays and weekend walking.
